Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Avionics PCB Layout Designer to join the ACE PCB design team. You will apply expertise in digital, analog, mixed-signal, high-speed, RF and high-power PCB design to develop avionics board products for aerospace applications.

Qualifications include 5+ years in PCB layout for aerospace/defense, proficiency with Altium Designer, and experience with IPC-6012 Class 3 standards. The role emphasizes collaboration with mechanical, electrical, firmware and software engineers in

Qualifications

5+ years in PCB layout and design in aerospace/defense
Experience maintaining PCB part libraries (symbols & footprints)
Proficiency with Altium Designer Pro/365/Enterprise for layout
Knowledge of IPC-6012 Class 3 and IPC-7352 standards
Experience HDI boards with fine-pitch BGA and high-speed/high-power design
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure settings and communicate effectively
U.S. citizen or eligible for U.S. work authorization

Responsibilities

Design and layout high-performance, high-reliability PCBs for aerospace applications
Develop and maintain PCB component libraries (footprints, symbols)
Create layout files from schematics using Altium Designer (Gerbers, FAB/ASY drawings)
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Troubleshoot PCB design and layout issues
Contribute to design reviews with artifacts and DFM/DFT assessments
Collaborate on PCB development process improvements with cross-functional teams
Guide and mentor junior layout resources on best practices
Check work quality of internal/external layout resources
