Job summary

W3Global is seeking an experienced Test Engineer for advanced mixed-signal avionics ICs in California. You will drive test development, qualification, and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle, reporting to the Test Operations Manager.

You will lead transition efforts, develop high-speed test solutions at package and wafer levels, implement DFT methodologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust test coverage and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor test engineering, with a focus on mixed-signal or avionics products.
• Extensive hands-on experience with ATE platforms (LabVIEW, ATEasy, Cohu/Unisom) and Linux systems using C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Lead transition of test solutions from legacy platforms to newer systems with improved coverage and efficiency.
• Develop and implement high-speed test solutions at package and wafer levels (hardware and software).
• Drive analog and digital DFT methodologies into new product designs for testability and manufacturability.
• Review production test times and yields to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in long-term capital planning for test equipment and systems.
• Identify innovative test methodologies to improve speed and cost.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess new designs and feedback from ATE results.
• Develop and execute reliability screening and qualification tests.
• Coordinate ATE characterization with product engineers to ensure robustness.
• Provide concise test data reports and actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Maintain strong cross-functional partnerships and support customer-related test issues.
• Manage multiple projects in parallel while upholding quality standards.
• Adhere to quality management standards and best practices.
