Job summary

Muon Space in San Jose, CA seeks a Senior Electrical Hardware Test Engineer to own the test infrastructure for satellite avionics. You will develop automated test racks, define validation strategies, and work with hardware engineers to implement DFT/DFM while mentoring junior staff.

The role is onsite five days a week in Silicon Valley. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in hardware test engineering, strong experience with oscilloscopes, PCBAs, and Linux-based testing, plus Python scripting for test

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of hardware test engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuits and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Define automated test racks for avionics modules (PCBAs).
• Define validation strategy and test methodologies for spacecraft avionics.
• Collaborate with hardware design engineers to implement DFT/DFM requirements.
• Write and maintain Python scripts for the test framework.
• Create rack self-test methods and preventative maintenance for production use.
• Mentor junior test/hardware engineers and lead design reviews for test infrastructure.
• Develop custom fixtures when needed to speed tests.
