Job summary

Radiance Technologies is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of missile electronics, power architectures, and interconnect systems from concept through flight test. You will own hardware across the lifecycle, including PCB layout, prototype bring‑up, and environmental testing.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or M.S. with 3+ years in aerospace, defense, or high‑reliability electronics design.
• Direct hands‑on experience integrating tactical or strategic‑grade IMUs (RLG, FOG, or high‑performance MEMS IMUs).
• Proven schematic capture and PCB layout using industry‑standard EDA tools (Altium, Cadence Allegro, Mentor).
• Experience with mixed‑signal, analog, high‑speed digital, and power conversion design.
• Experience implementing MIL‑STD buses (MIL‑STD‑1553, ARINC 429, Ethernet/UDP, CAN, RS‑422/485, SPI, I2C).
• Working knowledge of MIL standards (461 EMI/EMC, 810 environmental, 704 aircraft/missile power).
• Security clearance: active US DoD Secret with eligibility for Top Secret/SCI.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Hardware & Avionics Design for rugged missile environments.
• Design, analyze, and test high‑reliability PCBA for flight processing and power conversion.
• Develop power supply electronics and conditioning circuits for high‑strain environments.
• Design motor drive electronics for CAS and TVC systems.
• Integrate GNC sensors and seeker payloads with flight computer interfaces.
• Design MIL‑spec cable harnesses and interconnects for extreme loads.
• Create and maintain ICDs, schematics, and wiring topologies.
• Perform SI, EMI/EMC, and shielding analyses per standards.
• Simulate circuits and assess thermal‑electrical derating for avionics.
• Support TVAC, vibration, pyroshock, and thermal shock environmental testing.
• Develop HWIL test fixtures and breakout boxes for testing.
• Troubleshoot, perform root‑cause analysis, and support field operations.
