Job summary

Radiance Technologies is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to lead the structural, thermal, and aerodynamic design of advanced missile airframes and internal packaging. You will translate trajectory loads into flight-ready structures, TPS, and CAS interfaces, working with SMEs to ensure robust mechanical solutions.

Responsibilities include CAD modeling, FEA, materials selection, DFMA coordination with vendors, and environmental qualification testing across MIL-STD-810.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years in missile, rocket, or high-performance aerospace structures.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and FEA for airframes, TPS, and packaging.
• Experience with high-speed aerodynamics, aero-heating, and materials suited for harsh flight environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical architecture and CAD modeling of missile airframes, body tubes, fins, and internal mounting structures.
• Perform structural, modal, and aerothermal FEA to verify integrity and thermal margins under extreme flight loads.
• Integrate CAS, propulsion, and avionics with ruggedized enclosures and vibration isolation.
• Plan and execute environmental qualification tests per MIL-STD-810 and related specs.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure proper thrust vector alignment and mechanical interfaces.
