Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for a Manager Avionics Integration Engineering 2 (S02) in California (El Segundo) or Florida (Melbourne). The role leads a section of Avionics engineers and balances staffing with program requirements, driving technical solutions for next‑gen aircraft systems.

The position requires a DoD SECRET clearance, 9+ years in engineering (or 7 with a Master’s), and proven leadership in avionics disciplines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 9+ years of engineering experience, or 7 years with a Master’s degree.
Active DoD SECRET clearance within 5 years of last investigation.
Experience in Avionics or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

Leading a section of Avionics engineers (10-15 personnel).
Hiring, developing, training, and retention of section talent; including university and experienced candidates.
Providing leadership and direction to team members and managing employee performance.
Day-to-day operation of the organization including resource balancing across programs.
Collaboration between Avionics Integration and program management.
Promoting professional development and inclusive culture; sustaining momentum around engagement and value growth.
Executing on one or more programs in a technical capacity.
