Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior avionics engineer to join the Crewed Lander Avionics Team. You will help develop avionics systems for the human-rated lunar lander, working with NASA and partners to ensure safety and performance.

You will lead cross-functional studies, define interfaces, and manage ICDs while coordinating risk and schedule across subsystems. Strong communication and collaboration are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in a technical field and aerospace systems experience.
• 8+ years in avionics life cycle development including requirements, design, integration, test, operations.
• Experience integrating spacecraft subsystems such as avionics, software, structures, and GNC.
• Strong ability to define and manage communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead avionics architecture studies, concept development, verification planning.
• Develop and manage avionics physical, logical, and network ICDs.
• Maintain data and communication budgets and electrical architecture diagrams.
• Coordinate constraints across disciplines and manage design changes.
