Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to lead electrical harness development and qualification for our New Glenn program. You will coordinate component selection, manage testing, and ensure compliance with IPC/WHMA standards while interfacing with suppliers and internal design teams.

The role involves hands-on fabrication, installation support, and maintaining robust data libraries. A strong background in aerospace harnesses and CAD routing is required for this critical, safety‑driven

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or an appropriate engineering field.
• 7+ years of experience with Electrical Wire Harnesses for Aerospace.
• 5+ years in Liaison Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or test engineering.
• Experience with CAD routing software such as Unigraphics NX Electrical and Mechanical Routing.
• 5+ years' harness fabrication and installation experience.
• Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739.4.
• U.S. citizen/national or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve engineering drawings for manufacturability and standards.
• Coordinate component selection for electrical harness assemblies.
• Coordinate qualification of all components of harness assemblies.
• Support feedback from harness suppliers/sites and installation sites.
• Coordinate harness testing and maintenance of part libraries (JARVID/Windchill).
• Provide impact assessments for change incorporation and design configuration studies.
• Offer technical guidance for hardware installation.
• Maintain activity schedules and technical status.
• Identify opportunities for cost and schedule savings.
