Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Seattle, WA seeks an experienced electrical harness engineer to coordinate and lead harness definition, selection, and validation for spaceflight systems. You will work hands-on through design, fabrication, installation and testing, ensuring safety and compliance with aerospace standards.

Qualified candidates have 7+ years in aerospace harnessing, IPC/WHMA-A-620A and NASA-STD-8739.4 familiarity, and proficiency with NX/Cre o/Windchill.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or an appropriate engineering field.
• 7+ years of experience with Electrical Wire Harnesses for aerospace.
• 5+ years as Liaison Engineering, Manufacturing Engineer or test engineer.
• Experience with CAD routing software such as NX; Electrical and Mechanical routing.
• 5+ years of harness fabrication and installation processes.
• Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739.4 standards.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. (citizenship/residency requirements).
• IPC/WHMA-A-620A certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve engineering drawings for manufacturability and standards.
• Coordinate component selection for electrical harness assemblies.
• Coordinate qualification of all components in harness assemblies.
• Support feedback from harness suppliers/sites and installation sites.
• Support harness testing and related validation campaigns.
• Maintain JARVID database and Windchill standard part library.
