Job summary

Pratt & Whitney seeks an Advanced Processing Architectures engineer to develop embedded software for complex SoCs and ASICs, focusing on secure boot, validation, and platform trust.

You will design drivers, HALs, and initialization code, work with virtual prototypes, and coordinate with BSP vendors to integrate RTOS components, ensuring high‑assurance software. Onsite Melbourne, FL role offering extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience developing embedded software for complex SoCs/ASICs.
• C/C++ and embedded systems design experience.
• DO-178B/C or equivalent high‑assurance software experience.
• RTOS environments development/integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded platform software for processor control and power management.
• Implement secure boot orchestration and platform trust enforcement.
• Design and bring up low‑level drivers, HALs, diagnostics, and initialization software.
• Work with virtual environments and FPGA prototypes before hardware availability.
• Oversee subcontract suppliers for bootloader and early‑boot software.
• Collaborate with BSP vendors to integrate RTOS components and verify air‑gapped security.
• Debug HW/SW issues and improve development workflows.
