Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Seattle seeks an experienced Commodity Manager for avionics (PCBA, CM Management, EEE) to lead supply base strategies and supplier performance across programs. You will manage RFx activities, negotiate long-term contracts, and align with Program, Finance, and Engineering teams to ensure on-time, cost-effective procurement.

The role requires 8+ years in aerospace sourcing, travel up to 50%, and a strong track record in supplier development and strategic procurement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years minimum experience managing commodities in aerospace R&D and manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Extensive technical knowledge of assigned commodity’s manufacturing processes.
• Travel 25% - 50% of time and to remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership in evaluation, sourcing, and development of the supply base for avionics components.
• Performs RFx activities for strategic procurements and negotiates long-term agreements.
• Develops and manages commodity metrics and supplier performance reviews.
• Works with program stakeholders to identify long lead procurement requirements and supply base gaps.
• Leads supplier initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
