Lanteris Space Systems in San Jose, CA, seeks a Sr. Avionics/CDH Subsystem Engineer to develop onboard computer systems and data handling architectures for diverse space missions.

The role involves defining requirements, designing interfaces, and ensuring mission success through cross-functional collaboration. The candidate will contribute to telemetry budgets, subsystem sizing, and verification activities, with opportunities to work on demanding spacecraft programs in a dynamic, remote-friendly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science or related field
• 5 years of electrical command and data handling experience for space applications
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Responsibilities

• Support subsystem designs with requirements definition and trade studies
• Develop interface specifications and CONOPS for Avionics subsystems
• Create telemetry budgets and sizing inputs for avionics
• Collaborate with Flight Software, Database, Harness and other engineers
• Perform verification and validation of the designed system
• Develop and test mission operational procedures
