Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Physical Security Technologist to design, deploy, and optimize enterprise security systems.

You will maintain video surveillance, access control, and monitoring platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a secure and resilient environment. The role requires 10+ years of experience in enterprise physical security and hands-on Avigilon expertise, with strong IP networking and system integration knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT/security
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise physical security
• Hands-on experience with Avigilon ACC, cameras and NVRs, ACM/Alta Access
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, video surveillance, access control, and security integrations
• Experience troubleshooting physical security hardware and software

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and support Avigilon video management systems
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Avigilon cameras, NVRs, encoders, and related infrastructure
• Configure video analytics, appearance search, and event monitoring
• Optimize camera placement, image quality, retention, and storage
• Support access control with Avigilon Alta Access or ACM
• Manage access permissions, credential management, and security policies
• Integrate access control with video surveillance and alarms
• Monitor system health and performance across security platforms
• Respond to incidents, outages, and hardware failures
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with IT on network, VLANs, bandwidth, and cybersecurity
• Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders during deployments
• Develop documentation, SOPs, and maintenance procedures
• Perform system acceptance testing and commissioning
