Job summary

Leidos is seeking a senior aviation software test engineer to work onsite in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on automated testing, building robust test infrastructures, and supporting software products used in defense systems.

You will contribute to test planning, strategy, and execution within an agile team, developing scripts in Linux and Windows, and reviewing engineering documents for quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, CS, CE, EE, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent.
• 12+ years with BS degree or 10+ years with MS degree.
• 3+ years of leadership experience leading teams.
• Experience with C++, Python, or Java.
• Experience with manual and automated test tools and techniques.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a core team member in test planning, strategy, and design.
• Review, edit, and generate engineering/testing documents per standards.
• Develop automated scripts in Linux and Windows.
• Work within an agile software team and report progress.
