Job description

Fort Hill Group is seeking an experienced Senior Aviation Safety Program Manager for a full-time, on-site role in our Washington, DC office. The Senior Aviation Safety Program Manager will lead aviation safety projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage the overall project schedule. Responsibilities include managing a team of safety analysts, leading directly analyses of safety data, facilitating aviation safety events, managing safety-related programs, and liaising with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with aviation safety and risk management, including Safety Management Systems (SMS) development, compliance, and implementation
• Experience developing and implementing diagnostic, prognostic, and predictive analytical methodologies
• Experience overseeing or coordinating large technical interchange meetings, workshops, and conferences
• Knowledge of aviation safety, air traffic control, aviation operations, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations
• Familiarity with FAA safety programs and groups such as the Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing (ASIAS) system, Commercial Aviation Safety Teams (CAST), and General Aviation Joint Safety Committee (GAJSC)
• Strong project management experience, including program planning, budgeting, execution, and stakeholder engagement
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate or equivalent
• Strong communication, presentation, and technical writing skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and lead teams in multidisciplinary environments
• Advanced degree in aviation safety, engineering, or a related field preferred
• Relevant certifications, such as CSP, or aviation safety credentials, are preferred
