Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Aviation Project Manager to help manage and grow our Florida Aviation group. The role covers projects from small general aviation airports to large hub airports, including airfield pavement projects and master plan updates.

The position may be based in several Florida locations, with responsibility for project management, design coordination, and grant administration.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive experience managing projects within airport infrastructure design and construction administration in Florida.
Florida PE license or ability to obtain within 60 days; licenses in other states a plus.

Responsibilities

Managing clients, attending airport commission meetings, and guiding Airport Managers and Client staff.
In-depth knowledge of CIP projects and upcoming capital needs.
Prepares Scope of Services, goals, milestones, procedures, defines roles, coordinates resources, and monitors progress.
Work with design team on deliverables including AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings and cost estimates.
Preparing FAA Airport Improvement Program grant paperwork and state grants.
Provides guidance to Resident Engineers during construction and solves issues as needed.
Approves contractor pay estimates and leads discussions with contractors.
Leads preparation of proposals and statements of qualifications.
Participates in marketing by delivering quality work and pursuing project opportunities.
Mentors team members to promote high performance.
