Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Senior Aviation Planner to lead landside planning, airport access studies, parking and curbside analyses, and terminal-area planning with traffic modelling. You will serve as technical leader, project manager, and client liaison on complex airport projects.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years in airport planning, FAA knowledge, and strong leadership to drive successful outcomes and support growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive airport planning experience.
• Experience leading complex airport planning assignments for multiple airport types.
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and airport design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead airport planning studies for commercial service, reliever, and general aviation airports.
• Prepare and manage Airport Master Plans, ALPs, terminal area studies, and forecasts.
• Conduct landside planning analyses including roadways, curbside operations, and parking.
• Evaluate airport needs and develop planning recommendations balancing efficiency and growth.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, airlines, government agencies and consultant teams.
• Support business development and client engagement activities.
