Job summary

Amentum at Vance Air Force Base is seeking a Lead Maintenance Manager to direct the T-38 Maintenance Department, overseeing 63 aircraft and 90–100 personnel. You will ensure safe maintenance, flight schedules, and compliance with government publications and the contract work statement.

Responsibilities include supervising shifts, maintaining maintenance documentation, optimizing resources, managing certifications, and coordinating with production leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in related field with 8 years of relative experience; 5 years DoD experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 10 years of directly related experience; 7 years DoD experience.
• Minimum 7 years supervisorial experience with general aviation, military aircraft, or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Direct the overall function of the T-38 Maintenance Department.
• Ensure safe maintenance, flight schedules, and government-compliant operations.
• Assign adequate supervisory coverage for each shift.
