Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior Aviation Engineer/Project Manager in Pensacola, FL to lead complex aviation projects, including design, planning, and oversight of budgets and schedules. The role may involve guiding junior professionals and interfacing with clients and regulators.

Requirements include a B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, a P.E. license, and 6–7 years of aviation experience, with strong technical writing and communication skills essential for success.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering required; MS preferred
• Seven (7) years of engineering experience post-BS or six (6) years post-MS
• P.E. license is required
• Aviation experience required
• Strong written and verbal communication and technical writing skills

Responsibilities

• Design and sketch concepts for junior engineers, CAD designers or technicians
• Plan and review engineering drawings and specifications
• Plan and review engineering investigations or planning work
• Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for new projects, weighing alternatives
• Analyze technical problems and propose new approaches and solutions
• Estimate project cost, manpower, schedules and budgets
• Coordinate work with project manager and guide junior staff
• Ensure quality control across all work products
• May manage projects as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Sketch and develop complex engineering solutions using advanced techniques
