Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking an experienced AVEVA PI System administrator to act as SME for OT data integrations and to ensure system reliability across the PI environment.

You will configure data collection from SCADA, DCS, RTUs, PLCs, and support PI components such as PI Data Archive, PI AF, and PI Vision. The role emphasizes architecture improvements and automation using Python, PowerShell, and .NET, with mentorship to junior staff.

Qualifications

• Five or more years administering enterprise-scale AVEVA PI environments.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with programming/scripting languages: .NET, PowerShell, Python.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for OT systems with focus on AVEVA PI System and data integrations.
• Configure and maintain data collection into PI System from OT sources (SCADA, DCS, RTUs, PLCs).
• Investigate, evaluate, and integrate complex OT systems with PI System.
• Administer PI components including Data Archive, Collectives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, PI Vision.
• Lead improvements to PI System architecture and data integrations for reliability.
• Coordinate IT and stakeholder upgrades, patches, and maintenance.
• Develop automation for maintenance and third-party telemetry using Python, PowerShell, and .NET.
• Mentor junior team members and maintain technical documentation.
