We are looking for a Senior AV/VTC Technician to join our team!
Five or more years of experience working as a Senior AV VTC Technician.
Primary Skills
- Tasks are more technical with advanced troubleshooting skills required.
- Experience with all items listed above and a higher level of technical expertise in videoconference and conference room upgrades, knowledge of Extron and Crestron infrastructure and control products, Bi-amp audio devices, Tandberg codecs, projection systems, and other audio/video equipment.
- Installing complex AV systems: technical installation of AV systems including equipment rack fabrication, site preparation, termination and calibration of audio and video equipment, and implementation of Crestron Digital Media and control systems.
- Installing, configuring, integrating, and testing videoconferencing and integrated audio/visual technologies such as videoconferencing, multimedia displays, video projection systems, audio reinforcement systems, cameras, microphones, document cameras, streaming technologies, and other A/V collaboration technologies.
- Integrating and configuring A/V systems with Crestron control systems and installing and configuring Crestron Digital Media products.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and conducting on-site user and administrative training for the installed integrated A/V systems.
- Assist in design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of various network and telecommunications systems including IP and ISDN networks.
- Assist in customer site surveys, including collecting and recording existing detailed operational, functional and technical requirements, and developing project scopes.
- Understanding plans and specifications to identify the materials and equipment needed to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of electrical plans, blueprints, and drawings.
- Load and test touch panels and control programs.
- Troubleshoot hardware cabling.
- Provide system testing and troubleshooting expertise on high-end A/V solutions related to the remote control sub-systems of the integrated solutions.
- Provide training and training material, including advanced training for technical support and services personnel and basic training for end-users.
Requirements
- At a minimum, 5 years of experience troubleshooting videoconferencing, audio conferencing, and integrated A/V technologies in a large enterprise.
- At a minimum, 5 years of experience installing and troubleshooting Digital Media, BiAmp, Extron, Tandberg, Polycom, Crestron, Lutron, and corresponding hardware and software infrastructure.
- Familiarity with IT, telecommunications, A/V and electrical equipment including related materials and specifications.
- Detailed knowledge of videoconferencing standards.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Candiate should have experience with all items listed above plus higher level customer service and social acumen to interface and communicate with executive level customers in a corporate environment. Additionally, some working knowledge of end user computing equipment such as Windows and Apple Mac laptops and Apple iOS mobile devices.
