Job summary

Howard Technology Solutions is seeking a Senior AV Technician to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot audiovisual systems across corporate, educational, and event spaces. The role emphasizes system integration, client interactions, and leading project teams to meet high industry standards.

The candidate will install equipment, calibrate systems, run HDMI/Cat6/fiber cables, diagnose issues, and provide on-site support during events. Travel within Texas is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or a degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial AV installation, system integration, and troubleshooting.
• Extensive experience with AV control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron) and audio/video signal flow.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test AV equipment such as projectors, displays, sound systems, control systems, and video conferencing solutions.
• Set up and calibrate AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Run and terminate various types of cables, including HDMI, Cat6, and fiber optics.
• Lead AV installation projects with technicians and associate technicians.
• Coordinate with site manager and team to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Document project progress daily, including wiring diagrams changes and installation notes.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to clients and end-users.
