Job summary

Howard Technology Solutions is seeking a Senior AV Technician to install, configure, and maintain audiovisual systems across corporate, educational, and event venues. The role requires leading projects, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring installations meet high industry standards.

Travel to customer sites in east Tennessee is required, along with on-site support during events and trainings. Strong knowledge of AV control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron) and networking is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial AV installation, system integration, and troubleshooting.
• Extensive experience with AV control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron) and AV signal flow.
• Strong networking knowledge, including VLANs, IP addressing, and AV over IP technologies.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test AV equipment such as projectors, displays, sound systems, control systems, and video conferencing solutions.
• Set up and calibrate AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Run and terminate cables (HDMI, Cat6, fiber optics).
• Diagnose and resolve AV issues including signal flow and connectivity problems.
• Perform regular maintenance and updates on AV equipment and provide on-site support during events.
