Job summary

The University of Miami Information Technology & Systems Department is seeking a full-time Sr. Audio Visual Technician in Coral Gables, Florida.

The role provides AV services and supports classrooms, events, and distance-learning activities with a focus on setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment. The technician will edit and post recordings, train users, manage inventory, and collaborate with MHBS IT staff.

Qualifications

• Associate or higher degree in a relevant field; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum years of experience in audio-visual activities and events.
• Experience with Crestron control systems and live-stream services.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty and speakers with AV devices and presentation software.
• Configure, operate, and maintain AV equipment for events and classes.
• Record lectures and guest presentations; perform basic video editing.
• Provide training and support on AV technology for staff and students.
• Maintain inventory and documentation of AV equipment and procedures.
• Travel to satellite facilities and support weekend events as needed.
