General Motors is seeking a Senior System Design Engineer to define, design, and lead the System Design and Technical Specifications for automated driving technologies. You will work at the intersection of System, Architecture, Hardware, Software, and AV, shaping the early stages of GM's next generation vehicles.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive systems engineering, strong leadership, and experience with requirement management tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automotive or similar electronic modules and/or systems engineering.
• Demonstrated proficiency in writing and comprehending software and hardware requirements and interfaces.
• Experience with requirement management tools such as DOORS, DNG, JAMA etc.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments with remote sites.

Responsabilités

• Leads and generates technical solutions including specifying of requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, development and testing for current, new and major programs.
• Design systems interfaces and requirements, including detailed design development and validation using Protobufs and Feature Files.
• Lead development of software system team design content and software anomaly corrections.
• Performs complex design analysis and specifies/balances system requirements.
• Provide, communicate, and support best practices among software community.
• Participate with cross functional development team discussions to ensure alignment with peers and downstream customers.
