Job summary

DataVox, Inc. in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is seeking an experienced AV Service Technician to maintain and service commercial AV systems across the region.

You will diagnose, repair, and support complex AV setups, coordinate with clients and internal teams, and help optimize installations for performance and reliability. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial AV, hands-on experience with Crestron/AMX, and a strong foundation in networking and video conferencing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial AV installation, commissioning, or service experience.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting complex AV systems
• Experience working in commercial construction environments
• Experience with AMX and/or Crestron control systems
• Strong understanding of Commercial Audio Visual Systems, Video Conferencing Technologies, AV Control Systems, Audio DSP Platforms, Video Switching & Distribution, Projectors and Large Format Displays

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial audio visual systems
• Troubleshoot complex AV, video conferencing, and control system issues
• Perform service calls and preventative maintenance on installed AV systems
• Configure and support AV control platforms such as Crestron and AMX
• Install, configure, and calibrate audio and video equipment
• Service projection systems, displays, DSPs, switchers, and presentation systems
• Perform rack modifications and equipment upgrades
• Identify system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
• Document service activities and communicate findings with customers and internal teams
• Provide excellent customer service while representing DataVox at client sites
• Assist with commissioning and system optimization as needed
