Job summary

DataVox, Inc. is seeking an experienced AV Service Technician to support commercial audiovisual systems across the Dallas–Fort Worth market. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain AV installations, including video conferencing, control systems, and projection equipment.

You will work with Crestron/AMX platforms, configure AV gear, and ensure top-notch customer service at client sites while supporting commissioning and system optimization as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial AV installation, commissioning, or service experience.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting complex AV systems.
• Experience working in commercial construction environments.
• Experience with AMX and/or Crestron control systems.
• Strong understanding of: Commercial AV systems, video conferencing, AV control systems, DSPs, video switching & distribution, projectors and large format displays.
• Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routers, switches, IP-based AV technologies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial AV systems.
• Troubleshoot AV, video conferencing, and control system issues.
• Perform service calls and preventative maintenance on installed AV systems.
• Configure and support AV control platforms such as Crestron and AMX.
• Install, configure, and calibrate audio and video equipment.
• Service projection systems, displays, DSPs, switchers, and presentation systems.
• Perform rack modifications and equipment upgrades.
• Identify system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Document service activities and communicate findings with customers and internal teams.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing DataVox at client sites.
• Assist with commissioning and system optimization as needed.
