Job summary

The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa in Houston, TX seeks an Audio Visual Manager to oversee all AV operations for events, meetings and conferences. You will manage a team of AV technicians, coordinate with clients and vendors, and ensure flawless execution in line with luxury service standards.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, inventory, budgeting support, and real-time troubleshooting during events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in AV operations.
• Proficiency with AV systems (e.g., Crestron, Q-SYS, Dante, Shure, etc.).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Experience supervising AV technicians and coordinating with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily AV operations for events, meetings, and presentations.
• Hire, train, and supervise AV staff; create staff schedules.
• Coordinate setup/breakdown and on-site support for events.
• Maintain AV equipment inventory and assist budgeting.
• Provide post-event reporting and client-facing service.
