Job summary

The University Memorial Center (UMC) at the University of Colorado, Boulder is seeking applications for an AV Lead Specialist. This position provides professional audio-visual support for all types of events and other conference-related services both on-campus and for services offered off-site.

This includes assuring customers that audio-visual needs and requirements are satisfied for events in and outside of the UMC by following CU standards and practices, and acts as a source of knowledge by

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of audio-visual concepts, equipment, and software.
• Experience setting up and operating AV for live events.
• Proficiency with audio boards, lighting boards, projectors and video switchers.
• Ability to troubleshoot signal flow and gain structure.
• Customer service skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Experience in supervisory or leadership roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• AV Event Setup and Scheduling: set up AV equipment for all events and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Staff/Student Staff Supervision: supervise and train AV student staff, evaluate performance.
• Client and Event Management: provide AV guidance to clients and coordinate with internal staff.
• AV Equipment Testing, Maintenance and Storage: maintain manuals, perform maintenance, and manage storage.
