Job summary

IMS Technology Services LLC in Garnet Valley, PA seeks a Senior AV Field Engineer to install, troubleshoot, and document complex audiovisual systems. You will travel to project sites, configure DSPs, network equipment, and control systems using BiAmp, Crestron, AMX, Q-SYS, and other industry software.

The role requires CTS certification and a minimum of five years’ experience reading engineering drawings, strong networking knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with software developers,

Qualifications

• CTS Certification with 5+ years of experience reading AV system drawings and understanding network standards/practices.
• Proficient with Poly, Crestron, BiAmp, AMX, and Q-SYS software.
• CCNA certification, in process of obtaining or willing to secure within 1 year of employment.
• Experience configuring Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms.
• Experience with Microsoft OneNote, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint.
• Crestron Level 2 programming or higher.
• Q-Sys Audio 201 and Q-Sys Control 201.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Develop DSP program files based on scope of work and system drawings.
• Modify GUIs to update text and visuals.
• Update device communication settings and port configurations using industry software.
• Document software functionality for user guides and client walk-throughs.
• Update firmware on AV, network, and conferencing equipment.
• Collect and organize device identifiers and network information.
• Configure small business and enterprise networks for device communication.
• Create WLANs and local networks for client locations.
• Test, tune, and document system configurations for quality and acceptance.
• Collaborate with Developers, Installers, Managed Services, and Project Managers.
• Back up system software, configurations, and logs to a centralized repository.
• Support customer training sessions on installed systems.
