Job summary

DSI Tech in Ashburn, VA is seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Design Engineer to plan, design, and implement AV solutions across diverse projects. The role is primarily in-office with a minimum of 4 days per week in the office and up to 50% travel.

Relocation assistance is provided. You will prepare AV design packages, BOMs, schematics, and network diagrams, collaborate with vendors and colleagues, and ensure compliant, high‑quality systems. Salary range is $80,000–$120,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of AV engineering experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• AutoCAD and/or Visio drawing capabilities.
• Audio DSP programming and gain structure (Biamp, Extron DMP, QSC Core).
• Crestron and Extron nomenclature knowledge.
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting medium to large AV projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare AV design packages, inventory, install and verify systems.
• Create floor plans, room/rack elevations, and AV diagrams.
• Prepare bills of materials and provide service estimates.
• Provide specs and schematics for AV hardware and network designs.
• Collaborate with vendors and colleagues to execute AV systems.
• Produce program reports to assess capabilities and gaps.
• Maintain up-to-date AV systems knowledge across hardware and software.
• Communicate with customers, management, sales, and project managers.
