Job summary

DSI Tech is seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Design Engineer to design and implement innovative AV solutions across multiple projects. You will collaborate with several departments to ensure seamless integration and high-quality outcomes.

The role is primarily in-office in Ashburn, VA, with up to 50% travel and relocation assistance for qualified candidates. You will prepare design packages, BOMs, and detailed schematics, while maintaining current knowledge of AV technologies and

Qualifications

3+ years of AV engineering experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
AutoCAD and Visio drawing capabilities.
Audio DSP programming and gain structure expertise (Biamp, Extron DMP, QSC Core).
Crestron and Extron nomenclature knowledge.
Experience in design, implementation and support of medium to large AV projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare AV design packages, inventory equipment, install and verify systems.
Create floor plans, room/rack elevations, and AV/control schematics.
Prepare BOMs including hardware, materials, cabling, and service estimates.
Provide specifications for AV hardware and network designs.
Research and collaborate with vendors to design and implement AV systems.
Analyze system capabilities and identify gaps to meet user requirements.
Maintain up-to-date technical expertise across AV networks, hardware, software, and devices.
Communicate with customers, management, sales, and project managers.
