Job summary
General Motors is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead end-to-end AV/ADAS data-collection system design and delivery. You will translate stakeholder use cases into system requirements, architecture concepts, and verification plans across vehicles, benches, simulation, cloud data pipelines, and connected fleet campaigns.
You will collaborate with software, platform, regulatory, and data teams to ensure privacy, geofencing, and regulatory compliance while mentoring peers and driving reusable
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Systems Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years in systems engineering, embedded automotive software, or related area.
- Experience translating stakeholder needs into system requirements and verification criteria.
Responsibilities
- Capture stakeholder and regulatory use cases and translate them into system requirements and verification criteria.
- Define system strategies for data recording triggers, privacy, geofencing, and regulatory needs.
- Develop system-level test strategies and validation plans for new functionality.
- Coordinate with software and platform teams to manage requirements, defects, and risks.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to reusable standard work.
