Job summary

American Water is seeking an experienced Lead Audio/Video Infrastructure Engineer to architect and support large enterprise AV environments. You will design, deploy, and maintain voice, video, and collaboration systems across the organization, with a focus on user experience and reliability.

Responsibilities include managing Teams Rooms, Office 365 collaboration tools, and AV hardware from Crestron to Dante, ensuring scalable and secure solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Advanced AV/networking knowledge and enterprise video experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Office 365 collaboration tools, and AV platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise AV roadmap, design, installation, operation, and lifecycle of audio/video and video conferencing systems.
• Own current and future-state tech for Teams Rooms, Office 365, Crestron, Poly Lens, Pexip, Dante, Biamp, Shure, AV-over-IP.
• Provide lifecycle support for collaboration rooms, network streaming, AVLAN environments, and IP-based AV devices.
• Strong knowledge of VLANs, IP addressing, PoE switches, QoS, multicast, and readiness validation.
• Ensure vendor designs and documentation comply with enterprise standards, security, and lifecycle plans.
• Deliver excellent customer service and partner with networking, security, field support, facilities, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Lead upgrades, installations, and multi-year refresh plans aligned with capital planning and service reliability.
