Job summary

STR’s Analytics & C2Division develops advanced analytics for national security. The Autonomy Algorithms Senior Software Engineer will design, implement, and test algorithms for autonomous platforms, leading teams of 2–4 engineers through Agile development.

Remote work is possible when not on STR facilities, with a base in Woburn, MA and additional locations. You will mentor others, contribute to DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines, and translate research concepts into production software across the

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience with C++ or Java and backend algorithm development.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and test autonomous algorithms and software.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring across agile lifecycle.
  • Develop tools for mission planning, autonomous systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with researchers to translate complex math into software.
