Job summary

Arena Technical Resources, LLC in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a Senior Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and validate autonomy and active safety systems for ground vehicles. The role blends systems engineering, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and software development to ensure robust ADAS and unmanned vehicle control.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, perform test planning, model-based validation, and contribute to tool development and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years related experience.
• Experience developing and validating autonomy, active safety, ADAS, or unmanned vehicle systems.
• Solid understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements development, verification, and traceability.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform engineering calculations, investigations, software development, hardware selection, and tasks as assigned according to Oshkosh and general industry standards.
• Support senior engineers in the preparation of test plans, system designs, computation methods, and/or reporting.
• Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited complexity; may manage multiple projects.
• Collaborate with internal engineering or business support disciplines and external suppliers.
• Provide guidance or mentorship to entry level engineers, designers, or technicians on common projects.
• Provide support and insight to design team based on data from modeling and validation stages.
• Utilize tools such as CAN bus simulator, Busmaster, Visual Studio, etc.
• Ensure quality-conscious design including cost and reliability.
• Participate in cost studies, project time estimation, and technical proposals.
• Follow CMMI level 3 procedures.
• Identify and manage vehicle operation and maintenance risks.
• Assist in feasibility studies and support proposal development with design reports.
• Write requirements and design documentation.
• Travel to off-site locations to accomplish engineering programs.
• Develop system architecture using MagicDraw.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Regular on-site attendance is required.
