Job summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a contract assignment in Oshkosh, WI.

The role covers design, development, integration, and validation of autonomy and active safety systems, including HIL testing and software development. The Senior Engineer – Autonomy & Active Safety collaborates with multiple teams to develop requirements, execute tests, and troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience.
• Autonomy and ADAS or vehicle-system experience is a strong advantage.
• Ability to translate specifications into testable requirements and evaluate system performance.
• Experience evaluating software and CAN-based diagnostics and simulations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform engineering calculations, investigations, software development, hardware selection, and tasks per standards.
• Support senior engineers in test plans, system designs, computation methods, and/or reporting.
• Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited complexity; may manage multiple projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to align on requirements.
• Provide guidance to entry level engineers, designers, or technicians on projects.
• Use CAN bus tools and software to analyze vehicle performance and validation data.
• Write requirements and design documentation; participate in off-site testing as needed.
• Regular on-site attendance is required.
