Job summary
Helsing is expanding its US operations and seeks an experienced engineer to lead testing and validation of autonomous UAV systems and AI-enabled flight capabilities. You will run SIL/HIL simulations, plan flight-test campaigns, and work across software, ML research, and hardware teams to ensure safety and reliability in challenging environments.
The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting in field and lab settings, plus creating comprehensive test plans and safety cases for military-grade
Qualifications
- 7+ years in testing, validation, and evaluation of autonomous systems (UAVs/robotics)
- Experience with military or defense-relevant testing standards
- Hands-on with flight control systems and data analysis
Responsibilities
- Design, build and scale test and evaluation pipelines for autonomous UAV fleet
- Plan and execute M&S, SIL, and HIL analyses
- Coordinate flight test campaigns with operators and engineers
- Analyze flight data logs to identify failures and inform model updates
- Collaborate with software, ML research, and hardware teams to translate results into robust engineering solutions
- Write test plans, safety cases and verification artifacts
