Job summary

Helsing develops AI-enabled capabilities to protect democracies and is expanding its US operations. You will join the hardware and platform integration team, focusing on testing, validation, and evaluation of UAV systems and AI-enabled flight capabilities, from SIL/HIL simulations to field trials under real-world conditions.

You will troubleshoot in adverse environments, ensuring platform reliability and safety for mission-critical operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in a technical field (Aerospace, Robotics, Electrical Eng, Physics).
• 7+ years of testing, validation, and evaluation of autonomous systems (UAVs/robotics/aerospace).
• Proficiency in Python, C++, MATLAB for data analysis and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale test and evaluation pipelines for autonomous UAVs, sensors, and AI edge-perception models.
• Plan and execute M&S, SIL, and HIL analyses to stress-test subsystems before flight.
• Coordinate flight test campaigns with operators, engineers, and software teams to validate autonomous behaviors and sensor synchronization.
• Analyze flight data logs to diagnose failures and inform model updates and verification.
• Collaborate with software, ML research, and hardware teams to translate findings into robust engineering solutions.
• Write comprehensive test plans, safety cases, and qualification reports for V&V and certifications.
