NVIDIA is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead safety-critical analysis for L3/L4 autonomous driving products. You will define performance budgets and test strategies, ensure traceability, and work closely with Data Analytics, Test, and System Integration teams to verify datasets and scenarios.

Ideal candidates have a strong software background (Python, SQL, C++) and 8+ years in safety-critical environments, with ISO/SOTIF/ISO26262 experience. This role is based in Santa Clara, CA.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent).
• 8+ years in safety-critical systems engineering, system analysis, data analysis, and software architecture.
• Strong software development background with proven coding skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop use cases and system requirements for L3/L4 autonomous driving products based on customer needs and standards.
• Perform system-level analysis to define performance requirements and budgets across subsystems.
• Define test cases and metrics to ensure safety and functional requirements.
• Drive online/offline test strategy at vehicle and component levels.
• Collaborate with Data Analytics, Test Engineering, and System Integration teams.
• Ensure appropriate evaluators and metrics are developed; verify datasets cover scenarios.
