Job summary

NVIDIA Halos seeks a Senior SW Safety Engineer to lead safety for AI-based autonomous systems across the DRIVE platform. You will work with automotive safety groups, robotics, and research units to specify and verify safety requirements for software stacks—from drivers to AI models.

The role requires deep experience in AI safety methods and system software development, with a track record in safety certification processes and international collaboration.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence and SW safety related processes.
• Experience in AI safety methods and tools.
• Familiarity with system software development and embedded platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience reviewing existing processes and identifying gaps.

Responsibilities

• Be pivotal in ensuring the safety of our AI-based autonomous system software.
• Engage with engineers across the DRIVE platform and related research units.
• Collaborate with robotics, humanoids, industry safety, and other safety-critical teams.
• Guide teams to specify, build, implement, and verify safety requirements across software stack.
• Help implement Product Life Cycle integrating AI safety principles.
• Engage in customer interaction and international standardization activities related to AI safety.
• Support safety analyses across hardware and software boundaries and with external certification bodies.
