Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior SW Safety Engineer to join the Halos team, ensuring safety of AI-based autonomous system software across NVIDIA's DRIVE platform. You will work with automotive safety groups and robotics teams to specify, build, and verify safety requirements, and guide AI safety practices across the stack.

You will interact with customers and regulators, prepare safety analyses and evidence for certification, and help implement product life cycle principles of AI safety.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in AI and software safety related processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience producing safety plans, safety analyses and evidence packets for safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Specify, build, implement and verify safety requirements across software stack from drivers to AI-based tech.
• Collaborate with automotive, robotics and AI safety teams across NVIDIA DRIVE and related research units.
• Engage with external certification bodies and regulators; defend safety arguments and evidence for certifications.
• Support safety life cycle integration and safety case documentation across hardware and software boundaries.
