Prime Robotics, Inc. in Colorado is seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to architect and build the next generation of autonomous robotic systems.

This on-site role spans our lab in Downtown Denver and our Corporate HQ in Lakewood, CO, blending software, hardware, and field deployment to deliver production-ready robotics solutions. You will work across ROS/ROS2, SLAM, perception, and AI/ML-enabled workflows, collaborating with teams in the US and China to improve performance and reliability while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Robotics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in robotics, autonomous systems, or related fields with a proven track record of shipping real products.
• Strong C++ and Python with production-quality systems.
• Deep ROS/ROS2, real-time robotics, SLAM, navigation, path planning, and control.
• Experience with perception, sensor integration, computer vision, and AI/ML robotics workflows.
• Strong Linux and Docker, distributed/edge compute environments, and hardware/software integration.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop ROS/ROS2 software for autonomous mobile robots.
• Build and optimize SLAM, sensor fusion, path & motion planning, and multi-robot coordination.
• Lead development of AI/ML features for safety and throughput optimizations.
• Troubleshoot field and lab issues across hardware/software boundaries; drive root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the US and China to improve system performance and maintainability.
• Support customer implementations, deployment readiness, and validation activities.
