Job summary

Forterra seeks a senior software engineer to design, develop, and deploy software for autonomous robotic systems used by national security customers worldwide. You will work across hardware and software teams to enable intelligent behavior in a fleet of ground vehicles, integrating payloads and validating them in real-world conditions.

The role requires strong C/C++ programming skills, experience with robotics, and a track record of delivering production-quality software in CI environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in software for robotics or autonomous systems.
• BS in computer science, engineering, robotics or related field or demonstrable skill.
• Experience integrating software on hardware systems including sensors and compute platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and field software for autonomous robotics systems.
• Integrate payloads onto customer hardware and validate in real-world conditions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software for complex systems.
• Analyze tests, diagnose issues, and drive fixes to deployment.
