Job summary

Gills Point S Tire & Auto is seeking an Advanced Auto Technician in Oregon to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles. You’ll work with a skilled team, focusing on engine, suspension, brakes, electrical, and HVAC systems, while pursuing ongoing training and professional growth.

You will be responsible for thorough inspections, accurate repairs, and clear communication with customers. ASE certs are preferred but not required; company supports certification efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on automotive repair experience.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required; company supports certification.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine performance and related components.
• Inspect and repair suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Diagnose coolant leaks, HVAC components, and climate control issues.
• Perform tune-ups, maintenance, and system inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members; pursue ongoing tech training.
