Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations is seeking an Automotive Senior Technician in Smithfield, NC to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while leading a small team. The role offers flat-rate pay based on task efficiency and a path to ASE certifications through company-funded training.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and explaining repairs to customers, staying current with technology, mentoring junior technicians, and supporting a culture of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times.
• Experience with brakes and hydraulics and/or steering & suspension.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Willingness to participate in paid formal training and obtain ASE certifications within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications—brake and hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, A/C and related systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers in clear terms.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Pursue ASE certification in at least three of A1–A8 within the first two years (fees covered).
