Job summary

Delta World Tire in Houma, LA is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles with accuracy, manage work orders, and mentor technicians according to MAP guidelines and company standards.

You will perform multi-point inspections, explain needed repairs to customers, and contribute to a positive, safe shop environment. Compensation is up to a $45 flag rate, with benefits including tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, health coverage, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Valid Driver’s license in the work State (out-of-state licenses must be transferred within 30 days).
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to certification/experience level.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explains diagnostics and repairs to customers, store manager, or service consultants.
• Recommends necessary services and documents recommendations in the customer file.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
