Job summary

Delta World Tire in Lafayette, LA is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles to the highest standards, guiding junior technicians and ensuring compliance with MAP guidelines and dealership and manufacturer standards. You will perform multi-point inspections, explain repairs to customers, follow safety procedures, and contribute to a high‑quality service team.

ASE certifications or equivalent experience, plus a valid driver’s license, are preferred.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Valid Driver’s license in the work State; out-of-state licenses must be transferred within 30 days.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the inspection/repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explains diagnostic findings and needed repairs to managers, service consultants, and customers.
• Recommends services to keep vehicles in running condition and documents recommendations.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Adheres to company policies and values; maintains flexible Monday–Friday schedule.
