Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Texas is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles with accuracy, following MAP guidelines and manufacturer standards. You will handle advanced diagnostics, communicate findings to customers and store leadership, and contribute to a safe, efficient shop environment.

You will perform complex repairs, document all actions, and participate in the continual training and development of the team.

Qualifications

• Automotive technician experience or ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver’s license; at least 18 years old.
• State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 30 days where applicable.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical school experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicles according to certification level.
• Perform multi-point inspections and repairs with accuracy.
• Execute complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers or management.
• Document recommendations in customer file.
• Follow safety procedures and report concerns to supervisor.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed; Sundays not worked.
• Adhere to Sun Auto's policies and Employee Handbook.
