Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Texas is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles with precision and efficiency, following MAP guidelines and manufacturer standards.

The role requires ASE certifications or equivalent experience, ability to run diagnostics with computerized tools, and a valid driver’s license. Excellent pay, Sundays off, and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician/ mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess State Inspector License or ability to obtain a State Inspector license within 30 days of hire date.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to certification/experience level.
• Performs Multi-point Inspections and repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explains diagnosis and needed repairs to managers, service consultants, and customers.
• Documents all recommendations in customer file.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Work schedule flexibility; weekends and Sundays (not always) as needed.
• Adheres to Sun Auto's policies and values.
